Park and Ride

Annually Octoberfest draws 200,000+ attendees and we understand that parking can get congested, especially as the day progresses. Here are a few transportation options to consider:

VALLEY TRANSIT:  Historically, Valley Transit has provided reduced fares on all bus routes during Friday night's License to Cruise and Saturday’s Octoberfest celebration along with Park & Ride lots on Saturday. Please watch this page and our social media channels for an announcement in mid-August with fare prices and Park & Ride lot information. If you need route information, please visit www.myvalleytransit.com or call 920-832-5800.

UBER, LYFT and CAB Zone:  Catch your Cab/Taxi, UBER and LYFT safely on Washington Street from Oneida Street west to Appleton Street. This is only one block north of the event. This is also where charter buses will load and unload passengers.

SHUTTLE FROM KIMBERLY:  Tanner’s Grill and Bar in Kimberly will offer a continuous shuttle on Saturday during Octoberfest from 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM.  For only $5 a person you get unlimited trips back and forth from Tanners to downtown, coupons for 10% off Tanners food, and a free domestic tap beer at Mill Creek!  Their bus picks up in the front parking lot of Tanner’s and drops off at the designated area on Washington Street from Oneida Street west to Appleton Street.

ACCESSIBILITY NEEDS:  Attendees with accessibility needs can find convenient parking and access to the event by using one of the City of Appleton parking ramps. For more information on ramp locations please see the Event Map tab on this website.

BIKE PARKING:  Fox Cities Cycling Association and Appleton Bicycle Shop will be offering a bike parking lot at 121 South State Street. It will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m on Saturday during Octoberfest.

NOT FROM THE AREA?  No problem!  Lamers Bus Lines provides a daily route service (Lamers Connect) between Green Bay and Madison, with stops in Appleton, Oshkosh, Fond Du Lac, Waupun, Beaver Dam, Columbus and Madison.  In addition to the Green Bay to Madison daily service Lamers Bus Lines also provides daily service between Wausau and Milwaukee with pick-ups and stops in Appleton, Oshkosh, Fond du Lac, Stevens Point and Waupaca. They load and unload in Appleton at Valley Transit's Transit Center (100 East Washington Avenue).  For more details visit www.GoLamers.com.

You can also get to Appleton for Octoberfest and License to Cruise from anywhere in the continental U.S. via Greyhound.  They load and unload in Appleton at Valley Transit's Transit Center (100 East Washington Avenue). www.Greyhound.com
