Octoberfest Park & Ride
Transportation & Parking Options
Annually Octoberfest draws 200,000+ attendees and we understand that parking can get congested, especially as the day progresses. Here are a few transportation options to consider:
Friday - License to Cruise
Please note that there is no special service to Park & Ride lots on Friday.
Valley Transit is offering $0.25 fares on all bus routes during Friday night’s License to Cruise on Friday, September 29th beginning at 3:45 p.m. Check out www.myvalleytransit.com for bus routes near your neighborhood or call 920-832-5800 to get route information from Valley Transit’s friendly dispatchers.
Although there are no special rates on Friday, shared ride and taxis are always safe options for transportation to/from License to Cruise.
Saturday - Appleton's Octoberfest
Valley Transit’s special $0.25 fares are good again on all Valley Transit bus routes and from special Park & Ride locations on Saturday, September 30th, during Appleton’s Octoberfest.
Please note that there are only TWO Park & Ride lots on Saturday.
Park N Ride Lot 1: Fox Valley Technical College
Parking in NORTH LOT ONLY. Then walk to bus shelter in East Lot near Entrance 1 to catch shuttle bus.
See map for more information: https://www.fvtc.edu/Portals/0/PDFs/About-Us/Location-Maps/Appleton-Site-Map.pdf
- Park N Ride Lot 2: Appleton East High School (bus pick up/drop off is by John St. parking lot)
Valley Transit’s special Park & Ride shuttles will run between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Saturday and run a continuous loop from downtown Appleton to each lot. Service is approximately every 30 minutes but may be closer to 45-60 minutes during peak times (late morning and late afternoon) due to heavy traffic downtown. This special shuttle service ends at 6 p.m. on Saturday, but regular bus route service will continue. Last route buses will depart the Transit Center at 9:15 p.m. and 9:45 p.m.
All Valley Transit rides will drop off and reload at the Transit Center on Washington Street (next to the Appleton Public Library).
UBER, LYFT, and CAB Zone
Catch your Cab/Taxi, UBER and LYFT safely on the north side of Washington Street from Oneida Street west to Superior Street. This is only one block north of the event. This is also where charter buses will load and unload passengers.
LYFT Discount: Anyone using the promo code APLOCTOBERFEST can receive a $5 discount on their LYFT on Saturday only.
SHUTTLE FROM KIMBERLY and WEST APPLETON: Tanner’s Grill & Bar will offer a continuous shuttle on Saturday during Octoberfest from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. from both Tanners locations.
ACCESSIBILITY NEEDS: Attendees with accessibility needs can find convenient parking and access to the event by using one of the City of Appleton parking ramps. For more information on ramp locations please see the Event Map tab on this website.
