Transportation & Parking Options

Annually Octoberfest draws 200,000+ attendees and we understand that parking can get congested, especially as the day progresses. Here are a few transportation options to consider:

Friday - License to Cruise

Please note that there is no special service to Park & Ride lots on Friday.

Handicap Parking

Handicap parking can be found at the following locations:

  • Southside State St.
  • Southside Walnut St.
  • Southside Morrison St.
  • Northside Durkee St.
  • Handicap ramp parking

UBER/LYFT/CAB

Although there are no special rates on Friday, shared ride and taxis are always safe options for transportation to/from License to Cruise.

Bus/Valley Transit

UBER, LYFT, and CAB Zone

Catch a cab, taxi, Uber and Lyft on the north side of Washington Street from Oneida Street west to Superior.  

SHUTTLE FROM KIMBERLY and WEST APPLETON:  Tanner’s Grill & Bar will offer a continuous shuttle on Saturday during Octoberfest from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. from both Tanners locations. Last departure from downtown is 6:30. Drop off downtown will be on Washington Street near the Uber/Lyft station. 

ACCESSIBILITY NEEDS:  Attendees with accessibility needs can find convenient parking and access to the event by using one of the City of Appleton parking ramps. For more information on ramp locations please see the Event Map tab on this website.

Designated Driver Program

Complimentary Bud Zero will be available to anyone who chooses to be a designated driver on Saturday, Sept. 30. Designated drivers must be at least 21 years of age and purchase a designated driver wristband for $3 at any wristband booth. Bud Zero will be available at all beer stands.
